Giuseppina Giordano, age 87 , of Ansonia, entered into rest on Thursday February 8, 2018 at Griffin Hospital Derby surrounded by her loving family.
She was the devoted wife of the late Giuseppe Giordano.
Mrs. Giordano was born in Santa Caterina Sicily, Italy on September 27, 1930 daughter of the late Archangelo and Rosa Emma, and has been a resident of Ansonia since 1967.
She was a member of the Ansonia Senior Citizen Center, loved to play BINGO, go to the casino, play LCR with her family, going to Florida every year, and traveling to many place with her devoted husband before his passing.
She is the beloved mother of John Giordano and his wife Karen; Antoinette Donofrio, and her husband David; Rosa West; Lucio Giordano, and his wife Rosaria Michele Giordano; Salvatore Giordano; Angelo Giordano, and his wife Norma, Calogero (Lee) Giordano; and Maria Giordano.
She is the loving sister of Michele Emma and his wife Maria, Angelo Emma, and Grace Emma
She also leaves many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may greet her family on Monday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Road Shelton.
On Tuesday her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:15 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in the Holy Rosary Church Ansonia.
Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Garden Mausoleum Derby.
