Gladys L. (Ferguson) Massa, age 81 of Shelton, wife of the late Louis Massa, passed away July 13, 2013 at her residence.
Gladys was born in Derby, July 24, 1931, daughter of the late Edward and Viva Valentine (McConney) Ferguson.
Gladys was an avid bingo player, cat lover, and enjoyed her circle word books as well as watching wrestling and enjoyed watching the Yankees, especially when CC Sabathia was pitching.
She is the loving mother of son Thomas Massa of Shelton, daughters Shari Massa-Deida and Alice Massa both of Shelton; grandchildren William Merwin IV of Shelton, Sara Massa of Waterbury, and Nicholle Massa of Shelton; great-grandchild Thomas Joseph Manganaro; and brother William Ferguson (Alberta) of Florida.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery, Derby with Rev. Nick Pavia officiating. There will be no calling hours. THE JAMES T. TOOHEY & SON FUNERAL HOME, 92 HOWE AVE., SHELTON has been entrusted with arrangements.
