Gordon Maloney

Gordon M. Maloney, 44, of Derby, entered into eternal rest on June 2, 2013.

Gordon was born in Derby on March 1, 1969, son of the late Joseph and Dorothy Foster Maloney.

A lifelong resident of Derby, he was previously employed at Viking Tool in Shelton. 

Gordon enjoyed listening to music, attending concerts and was a member of the Kazmir Pulaski Club in Shelton. He was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants.

He is survived by two loving sisters, Shirley Signore (Ralph) of Derby and Jennifer Hopson of SC, a brother, Joseph Maloney Jr. (Judy) of Southington, nieces and nephews, Kimberly Signore of Ansonia, Anna Signore and Vinny Signore of Derby, Joann Maloney of Plainville and Tanya Jones of Ansonia, great-niece, Natalia Tovar, great-nephew, Gabriel Tovar, best friend, Kevin Mackowski of Ansonia and several cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by sisters, Sandra and Bonnie Maloney.

Friends may greet the family on Wednesday June 12, 2013, from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. 

At 7:30 pm, a funeral service and celebration of Gordon’s life will take place with Deacon Richard Renker officiating. 

His cremains will be interred alongside his mother in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby on Thursday June 13, 2013 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
