Grace Darling Oliver, 98, passed away peacefully August 3, 2016 at Shady Knoll Health Center, Seymour.
Grace was born June 29, 1918 in Milltown, N.B., Canada to John Arthur Oliver and Pearl (Fisher) Oliver. She moved to Ansonia from Canada at three years of age.
Grace attended Ansonia public schools. She served as a Corporal in WAC as a Medical Administrative Specialist from 1943 to 1949. Following her years in the service she worked as a homemaker in motherless homes. In her later years she worked to the age of eighty for The South Central Agency on Aging, as a Senior Companion. She learned to drive in her early sixties.
She is survived by special cousins Elinor Schiavi, Susan, and Tammy and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, September 10 at 12 noon
at Seymour Evangelical Baptist Church, 104 Mountain Road, Seymour, CT. There are no calling hours.
