Harris W. Valentine

Harris W. Valentine, 87, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on August 13, 2012, at Griffin Hospital. He was the beloved and devoted husband of Constance Tuccio Valentine.

Mr. Valentine was born in Seymour on July 21, 1925, son of the late Wesley and Anna Konrad Valentine. A resident of Ansonia for sixty years, he was employed at Uniroyal in Naugatuck and later at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford. Following his retirement, he worked part-time at Spector Furniture in Ansonia. Harris was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia and a member of its Catholic Men’s Club.

In addition to his wife Constance, he is survived by a loving son, Wesley Valentine of Ansonia, two loving daughters, Christine Valentine and Carol Valentine of Ansonia, several nieces, nephews, friends, and canine buddies Cody and Harley. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Valentine and a sister, Ida Mae Dearling. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Thursday August 16, 2012, at 9:15 am from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia.

Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Trinity Cemetery in Seymour. Visiting hours will take place on WEDNESDAY from 5 – 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions in Harris’s memory to Griffin Hospital Development Fund, 130 Division St., Derby, CT 06418 or through the funeral home.
