Heather Ann Salomonson, age 54, of Derby, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Heather was born in New London on May 2, 1970, and lived in Derby for the past ten years. Heather was a graduate of East Lyme High School and then started her career of many years as an esthetician.
Heather was an avid runner, enjoyed drawing, and loved to decorate. She had a beautiful singing voice and a keen sense of humor.
She is survived by her father, Stephen Salomonson, and step-mother Betty Keane, and her partner of ten years, James Kloc. She also leaves her caregiver, Dorothy Kloc and her beloved dogs Bella and Buddy. Heather was predeceased by her son, Zackary Stephen Salomonson, and she cherished her time as a mother. She was also predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Hubert and Thelma (Larsen) Salomonson. Through organ donation, Heather again gave the gift of life.
Friends may greet the family at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby on Thursday from 12 PM to 2 PM. Her funeral service will begin in the parlor at 2 PM.
