Helen Bacsik Hudak, age 93 of Seymour, formerly of Shelton, wife of the late Michael Hudak Sr., passed away August 13, 2013 at Shady Knoll Health Center, Seymour.
Helen was born in Shelton, December 25, 1919, daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Sebas) Bacsik.
During her life, she worked as a clerk and buyer for the former Gann Ladies Apparel of Stratford for many years until her retirement.
She was a former member and past president of St. Joseph assembly Catholic Ladies of Columbus and was also a former member of the St. Margaret Mary Ladies Guild and Shelton Senior Center.
She is survived by sons Michael Hudak Jr. and his wife Cherylle of Saratoga Springs, NY, John Hudak of Ocala, FL, and Stephen Hudak of Des Moines, IA; daughter Carole Kichar and her husband Russell of Oxford; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother Francis Bacsik of Coconut Creek, FL and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, John and Joseph Bacsik and sisters, Evelyn Walcek and Veronica North.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM in the JAMES T. TOOHEY & SON FUNERAL HOME, 92 HOWE AVE., SHELTON. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton. Calling hours will be held from 10 AM until time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Margaret Mary Church or to Shady Knoll Health Center through the funeral director.
