Helen Bodiak, an 88-year-old lifelong resident of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest June 15.
She was born August 7, 1927, daughter of the late Dimitro & Mary Nester Bodiak.
She was a graduate of Ansonia High School, Class of 1945 and was a member of The Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church. She was employed in the family business, The former Bodiak’s Grocery Store.
She was predeceased by her sisters Julia Krizan & Sally Holbink. She is survived by nephews Lawrence Krizan & wife Pina of Spring Hill Florida, Leonard Krizan & wife Susan of Shelton, James Holbink & wife Barbara of Chester and niece Sue Ellen Holbink of Fall City Washington State.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 24 at 1:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. (http://www.jenkinskingfh.com/) Friends may call from 12:00 NOON to 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
