Helen Cichocki, age 96, of Shelton peacefully entered into rest on April 15, 2020 in Bishop Wicke Health Care Center.
She was the devoted wife of the late Edward Cichocki. She was born in Bridgeport on July 17, 1923 the daughter of the late Wladyslaw and Wladyslawa (Lisowska) Szkudlarek.
Helen worked as a secretary at IBM for several years before starting her family. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, and making ceramics. She is beloved mother of Mark Cichocki and his wife Kathy, Mary Ann Sender and her husband George, proud grandmother of Neal Cichocki and his wife Eunice, Sarah Hannon and her husband Brian, Kimberly Battaglino and her husband Lou, and Lauren Demko and her husband Richard, loving great grandmother of Avery, Matthew, Brianna, R.J., Edward, Aidan, Lucas and Sebastian.
She is also survived by one brother Barney Skudlarek and his wife Eleanor and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Edward and Matthew Skudlarek and her sister Regina Lian. Due to the current pandemic health crisis a Mass Christian Burial will be held in St. Margaret Mary Church, Shelton at a future date to be announced for the public to support Helen’s Family. Her burial with immediate family will be held in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
