Helen Doris Miller, 81, passed away peacefully at Halifax Hospice, Port Orange, Fla. on August 28, surrounded and loved by her family and friends, Julie Osborne, Eleanor Sostarich, and Linda Bohanan.
Helen was born in Ansonia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Tetmeyer. She graduated from Ansonia High School in 1947. Helen worked for the State of Connecticut in the court system in the Naugatuck Valley.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jack Miller; son, John Miller III and his wife Le Anne; daughter, Cheryl Ann Miller and her life partner, Lee Luysterborghs; grandson, John William IV and many in laws, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, brother William Tetmeyer, and niece Cindy Tetmeyer Moir.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Halifax Health Hospice of Port Orange, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
Services will be held Sept. 3 at 11 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church with reception to follow, 4110 South Ridgewood Avenue, Port Orange, FL.
