Helen M. Parzyck Hotchkiss

Helen M. Parzyck Hotchkiss, age 88, of Seymour, the beloved wife of the late Harold D. Hotchkiss, Jr., entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Griffin Hospital in Derby surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born in Ansonia on November 30, 1927, the daughter of the late William and Mary Spak Hulowsky. 

Helen was a parishioner of St. Peter and St. Paul Church in Ansonia. She worked for many years at Koppel Photo Company and retired in 1979. She also worked as a Home Health Aide. Helen was an avid reader, homemaker and enjoyed boating and was a lifetime member of the Valley Yacht Club. Helen will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts. 

Her loving family includes her three sons Harold D. Hotchkiss, III (Denise ) of Terryville, Aaron Hotchkiss (Lisa) of Lakeland, FL and James Hotchkiss of Fort Pierce, FL, a daughter Hope Ann Walker of Jacksonville, FL, a sister Arlene Ewen (Richard) of FL , a daughter in law Davida Munevich of Seymour , her 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Jacob Munevich, and three brothers Joseph Parzyck Jr., Edwin Parzyck and Ronald Parzyck.

A Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Helen’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 (Directly) at St. Peter and St. Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 105 Clifton St. Ansonia. at 10:00 a.m. Friends and relatives may call at The Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour, on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Panakhyda will be offered at 7:00 pm, Monday evening. Interment will be held privately at St. Peter and St, Paul Cemetery, Derby, at the convenience of the family. 

Memorial gifts in Helen’s memory may be made to The American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
