Helen T. Piorkowski, 81, of Seymour, entered peaceful rest April 8, 2014 at St. Vincent Medical Center, Bridgeport; she was the beloved wife of the late Henry J. Piorkowski.
Mrs. Piorkowski was born August 13, 1932 in Pittston, PA, daughter of the late Alfred and Jenny (Frushon) Centrella.
Helen was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd, and was Past President of the Ladies Guild there; she was a retired Supervisor from Uniroyal, Naugatuck.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, and spending time with her granddaughters.
Helen leaves her loving family including her children, Linda Ann Macke (Robert) of Waterbury, Rose M. Walsh and Michael H. Piorkowski both of Seymour, and her granddaughters, Jessica Lynn, Amyrose, Sofia, and Sydney, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six siblings.
Calling Hours are Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. A mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd., Seymour. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery.
