Helen T. Strazemski, age 91, of Ansonia died February 18, 2013 at Hilltop Health Center.
Born in Ansonia on September 18, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Scherbienska Strazemski.
Ms. Strazemski was a lifelong Valley resident, member of St. Michael Church, and worked as a seamstress for Slim Fit Fashions of Shelton for over 20 years until her retirement.
She is survived by nephews, John Strazemski of Ansonia and Joseph Strazemski of New Jersey, other nephews and nieces, and many great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Catherine Granatie and Jean Moncheski; and three brothers, Chester, Michael and Henry
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, February 21, 2013, at 9 a.m. from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Ave., Derby. Private interment will take place in St. Michael Cemetery, Derby.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
