Henriette Wilkes Wilson

Henriette Wilkes Wilson, age 90, of Shelton, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Griffin Hospital in Derby. Henriette was born in Baginsberg, Galizien in 1934, daughter of the late Georg and Maria (Christoffel) Klein. She immigrated to the United States in 1952 and lived most of her life in Shelton.

She worked in accounting for Applied Engineering until her retirement. Henriette was a member of the Huntington Congregation and was involved in the women’s fellowship. She was a member of the Housatonic Boat Club, the Valley Squares, Newtown Square Dance Club and the Shelton Senior Center. She enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was one of the kindest, most selfless people one could know.

She was predeceased by two husbands, the late Richard David Wilkes and the late Peter Wilson. She is the beloved mother of Diane Wilkes, Linda Simics (William), and Cynthia Kane (Jeffrey), and cherished grandmother of John Crowley, Brian Crowley (Amanda), Lauren Kane, Thomas Kane, William Simics III, Richard Simics, Julia Simics, and Angela Simics. She is also survived by a brother, Herbert Klein, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, and are private for the family. Memorial contributions are encouraged to the Huntington Congregational Church, 19 Church Street, Shelton, CT 06484.
