Henry “Hank” Nizgorski, 69, of Thomaston, formerly of Ansonia and Naugatuck, entered into eternal rest on April 29, 2012, at Bristol Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Susan A. Mathews.
Mr. Nizgorski was born in Derby on April 26, 1943, son of the late Theodore and Mary Korpusik Nizgorski. He was a dedicated employee of Gordon Rubber & Packing in Derby for over 50 years. Hank enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling and visiting the casino. He was also a loyal Detroit Lions fan.
In addition to his wife Susan, he is survived by sons, Henry Nero of FL and Stephen R. Nizgorski of Waterbury, step-sons, Kerry Wild of Naugatuck, Kim Michael Wild of New Britain, Kenneth Wild of Waterbury, and John Dailey of PA, a step-daughter Heather Dailey-Mezzacappa of Stratford, a sister Ann Jean Lear of Wallingford, many grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Brother Lucian Nizgorski and a step-daughter, Sandra Audet.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Hank’s funeral service and celebration of his life on Friday May 4, 2012 at 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 pm until the service begins.
