Henry Lee Turner “Hank”, age 81, of Shelton, entered into rest on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Gardner Heights. He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth “Betty Ann” (Sharkevich) Turner. Henry was born in Warren, Arkansas on May 5, 1943, son of the late Elie and Patsy (Williams) Turner, and lived in Shelton for over 30 years.
He was a counselor at the Boys & Girls Club in Shelton for 19 years before his retirement. Henry enjoyed church, basketball, singing and dancing, playing bingo, socializing at the Shelton Senior Center, and playing scratch-offs, which was his favorite thing to do.
He is survived by his son, Gregory Turner, and his sister, Reverend Carrie M. Booker and a host of nieces and nephews. Extended family, Virginia, Samantha, Jenn and Mike. Henry was predeceased by two brothers, Elie “Sonny” Turner Jr. and Eddie Turner; two sisters, Dot Beavers and Mable Smith.
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, CT on Monday, April 14, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. The remembrance of life service will begin in the parlor at Noon. Burial immediately following at Lakeview Cemetery in Bridgeport, CT.
