Howard S. Madigosky

Howard S. Madigosky, age 86, husband of the late Mary Fiore Madigosky and resident of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest at home on March 13, 2011. 

He was born September 28, 1924 in Derby, son of the late Stephen and Mary Gracon Madigosky. 

Howard was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and was a member of the former American Legion Gordon Visselli Post of Ansonia. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia.

He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Howard D. Madigosky and his wife Ioanna of Ansonia, Stephen R. Madigosky and his wife René of West Chester, PA. and Jeffry Madigosky & his wife Dawn Mari of Oxford, 1 daughter Lori O’Rourke of Woodbury, two brothers, Fred Madis of Seymour and Stephen Madigosky of Southbury and five grandchildren, one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his wife Mary, he was predeceased by two sisters, Jane Trunkfield & Doris Malin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, 10 a.m., with friends asked to go directly to Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. 

Burial with military honors will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia (www.jenkinskingfh.com).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
