Hugo Piacenzo, age 94, of Derby, entered into eternal rest on March 31, 2022 at Gardner Heights Health Care in Shelton. He was the beloved husband of Mary Salvetti DeTullio Piacenzo.
Hugo was born in Ansonia on February 1, 1928, son of the late Frank and Mary Ruggeri Piacenza. A resident of Ansonia and Derby for his entire life, Hugo was employed as a foreman and stock handler for Connecticut Light and Power. He was a former member of St. Sebastian Club in Ansonia.
In addition to his wife Mary, Hugo leaves to cherish his memory, step-sons, George DeTullio (Maureen) of Derby and Ronald DeTullio of New Mexico, step-daughter, Maria Pacelli of Ansonia and nephew, Bruce Cafasso of Ansonia. He was predeceased by his sister, Natalie Cafasso.
