Irene O. Mitchell, age 84, wife of the late Charles Mitchell and resident of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest September 24.
She was born Dec. 30, 1927 in Woodbridge township, New Jersey, daughter of the late Stephen & Elizabeth Olha Bihary.
She was a parishioner of St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Trumbull and was a member of the Ansonia Senior Center.
She worked as a press operator for General Electric in Bridgeport.
She leaves two sons, Richard K. Mitchell Sr. & his wife Leslye of Ansonia & David J. Mitchell of Vero Beach, Florida, two grandsons, Richard K. Mitchell Jr. & his wife Connie of Anchorage, Alaska & Michael A. Mitchell of Ansonia, Granddaughter Katherine Mitchell of Ansonia and two great grandchildren, Kailey & Zoey Mitchell, both of Anchorage, Alaska.
She also leaves siblings Albert Bihary & Susan Gian, both of Nevada.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth Izzo & Ann Novak & six brothers, Stephen, John, Gabe, Frank, Alexander & Joseph.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 29 at 10:00 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery in Drums, Pennsylvania.
