Irene R. Jecusco, (Flopsy) age 78, of Shelton entered into rest Friday, June 7, 2024 at Gardner Heights. She was born on November 25, 1945 in Milford, CT. She lived most of her life in Seymour, CT.
Irene worked for JCC of Greater New Haven in the finance department in Woodbridge for many years.
Irene was an independent, strong-willed woman who lived life as she saw fit. She loved watching her English films, going out with her friends to listen to live music and was always up for a good party. She spent many years on the Library Board in Seymour, and countless hours volunteering during town functions.
Irene was predeceased by her parents Magnus and Irene Stien.
She was survived by her brother Magnus Stien and his wife Susan. Irene was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to her graveside service on Saturday at 10:00 AM at Riverside Cemetery, 308 River Road, Shelton. The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton has been entrusted with her arrangements.
