Jacqueline B. Steinis, age 86, of Shelton passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport with her loving family by her side. Jackie was born in New Haven on July 11, 1937, daughter of the late Charles H. Baldwin Sr and Esther M. Baldwin.
She leaves two loving, caring, and devoted sons, Robert C. Steinis and his companion Laureen Guerriero of Milford and William T. Steinis and his wife Lisa of Naugatuck. She was Nana to two cherished grandchildren, Tyler D. Steinis and Ashley L. Steinis of Naugatuck, of whom she was very proud and loved dearly. She is also survived by her brother Charles H. Baldwin of New Hampshire, her nephew Christopher Baldwin and his wife Trish of Ireland, and two great nieces.
Jackie was raised in Seymour, attended local schools, and graduated from Seymour High School Class of 1955. Her working career included working for area banks, realtor with Real Estate Two (Shelton) and Michaels Jewelers (Orange), retiring in 2014. She was a past member of the Valley Board of Realtors, Connecticut and National Board of Realtors.
Jackie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, discussing politics, visiting New York City, and of course, listening to Frank Sinatra music.
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 river Road, Shelton, on Friday from 9 to 11 AM. Her funeral service will begin in the parlor at 11 AM. Burial will immediately follow at Mt. Meadow Cemetery in Seymour.
