Jacqueline L. DiPiro

Jacqueline L. DiPiro, 81, entered into eternal rest on February 10, 2017, at Hewitt Health & Rehab in Shelton. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence DiPiro.

Mrs. DiPiro was born in Ansonia on June 6, 1935, daughter of the late John and Michaelina Pitingoro Lombardi. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, she was employed as a secretary for the Farrel Corp. in Ansonia and Derby for many years, until her retirement. Jackie was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed painting, jigsaw puzzles and listening to Italian music. She was also a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and a member of St. Sebastian Ladies Auxiliary in Ansonia. 

She is survived by a daughter, Marie Carr and her husband Daniel of Beacon Falls, sons, William DiPiro of Vero Beach, FL and John DiPiro (Melissa) of Seymour, cherished grandchildren, Robert and Amanda Broadhurst of Maryland, Christopher Broadhurst of Virginia, Hannah Murphy and Gulia Asher of Tennessee, Louis DiPiro and Katelin Carr of Ansonia, Danielle Carr of Derby, Courtney Abate of New Haven and Christopher Abate of Seymour, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 nieces, 2 nephews and best friend, Nancy. She also leaves Jean Roslonowski and Jim Schryver, whom she regarded as her own children. She was predeceased by a grandson, William DiPiro Jr. and a sister, RoseMarie Carroll.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday February 17, 2017, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 7:00 pm, a funeral service in celebration of Jackie’s life will take place with Deacon Richard Renker officiating. Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jackie’s memory may be made to the Ansonia Animal Shelter, 2 Elm Street, Ansonia, CT 06401.
