Jadwiga “Gosia” Malgorzata Szleszynska, age 59, beloved wife of Kazimierz Szleszynski of Seymour, died peacefully on May 26, 2025 at Griffin Hospital with her family by her side.
Born in Szcuczyn, Poland on August 19, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Boleslaw and Anna Niecikowska Gorski. Mrs. Szleszynska immigrated to the United States in 1993, settling in Shelton before moving to Seymour 28 years ago. She worked for W. B. Bassett Company, prior to her 18-year career at Bridgeport Hospital in the environmental services department.
Mrs. Szleszynska enjoyed cooking for her family and tending to her flower gardens. She appreciated all kinds of music and watching comedy movies. Her greatest joy was her family and she will be long remembered for her special love for her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 40 years, she is survived by her devoted children, Emilia Szleszynska of West Haven, Tomasz Szleszynski of Seymour and Daniel Szleszynski of Germany; a sister, Danuta Lubenzka of Poland; brothers, Janek, Mirosla and Adam Gorski, all of Poland; cherished grandchildren, Michelle Domizio of Seymour, Kameron James Szleszynski and Kaiden Lucas Szleszynski, all of Seymour; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Miroslawa Gorska.
Family and friends may call on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. Funeral services will take place from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 9:00 AM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Avenue, Derby. Interment will take place in Komunalny Cemetery, Poland. Online condolences may be made at www.wakeleememorial.com.
