Jadwiga Mankus Duplaga, age 80, wife of the late Peter Duplaga, and former Ansonia resident currently of Tolland, entered into eternal rest Feb. 13.
She was born Dec. 3, 1936 in Olszewka, Poland, daughter of the late Teofil & Eleonora Stolarczyk Mankus.
She was also predeceased by her brother John Mankus. She worked as a tool Inspector for Hershey Metal Co. until retirement and was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Ansonia.
She leaves her daughter Margaret Wasilewski of Tolland, CT. & husband Daniel, son Robert Duplaga of Sarasota, FL., sister Maria Maluchnik of Olszewka, Poland and grandchildren Brittany, Cody, Levi, & Tristan as well as several nieces & nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Ansonia. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Derby. Family and friends may call on Saturday at the Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. before the funeral leaves for church.
The family would like thank the staff at Woodlake Nursing Center at Tolland for the special care they gave to mom.
