James Edward Lindsey Jr.

James (Jimbo) Edward Lindsey Jr., a 78 year old Ansonia resident, passed away Nov. 10 surrounded by his family.

He was born April 22, 1936 son of the late James Lindsey Sr. And Mabel Gallman-Howard James worked as a Foreman in Casting Dept. for American Brass CO., and was a member of The Clinton A.M.E. Zion Church. He was a graduate of Ansonia High School and an avid fan of both Ansonia High School’s Football and basketball teams. He followed The N.Y. Giants, Knicks & Mets.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters Rosalind & Jill Lindsey (John) both of Ansonia, sister Barbara Howard of Derby, brother Wilbert Howard (Linda) of New Haven and grandchildren, Toshea McNair & Perry Flowers Jr., both of Ansonia, sister in-law Dorothy Lindsey and Aunt Mildred Singley. He was predeceased by siblings William Harold Howard Jr., Marvin Skeet” Lindsey, Barbara Bishop & Betty Harvell.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Clinton A.M.E. Zion Church in Ansonia. Friends may call 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. before the service. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
