James G. Evans, 51, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on May 31, 2013, in his home.
Jim was born in Derby on Feb. 20, 1962, son of the late James “Skinny” and Frances Fosella Evans. He was previously employed as a rehabilitation counselor at the Birmingham Group in Ansonia for several years. He enjoyed working with computers and flying model airplanes.
He is survived by two daughters, Savannah Cave of Watertown and Lindsay Evans of Shelton, two loving brothers, Michael J. Evans and Patrick T. Evans of Ansonia, two loving sisters, Michele L. Walsh (Donald) of Bethany and Colleen M. Thomas (Keith) of Naugatuck and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may greet the family on Wednesday June 5, 2013, from 5 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 7:00 pm, a funeral service and celebration of Jim’s life will take place with Deacon Richard Renker officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hilltop Hose Co. #5 for maintenance and restoration of their old Mack fire truck and barn, which was dedicated to Jim’s father Skinny, through the funeral home or to the Brain Injury Alliance of CT, 200 Day Hill Road, Suite 250, Windsor, CT 06095.
