James Galston Jr., age 85, beloved husband to Helen Behrle Galston and resident of Ansonia, passed away December 5, 2012.
He was born August 2, 1927 in Ansonia, son of the late James & Mary Calder Galston and graduated from Ansonia High school class of ‘46 where he played football.
A Navy Veteran of World War II, he worked as a quality control manager for Hershey Metal Co. of Ansonia. James was also an avid UCONN Women’s Basketball & N.Y. Yankees fan.
He was predeceased by his sister Maisie Haddad. In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish his memory his son James Galston III & his wife Karen of Simsbury, granddaughter Brittany Galston of Simsbury, 3 nieces, Donna Boucher & her husband Dave of Orange, Lynn Behrle Wasilewski of Derby & Cheryl Behrle Da Silva of Watertown, nephew Ronald Behrle & his wife Debbie of Derby, and brothers in law Carl Behrle of West Haven & Willard Behrle & his wife Rosalie of Ansonia.
