James J. Fleming Jr., 66, entered into eternal rest on Saturday July 15 in the Griffin Hospital.
Born in Derby on March 15,1957 son of the late James J. and Lois (Tyler) Fleming Sr., a communicant of the Church of the Assumption, Graduate of the Assumption School and the Ansonia High School.
Jim is a member of the Charters Hose Fire Department, serving as Captain rising in rank to Chief of the Ansonia Fire Department. He is a member of the Valley Fire Chief’s Association, and retiring from the Quality Control Dept. of O’Keefe Controls in Monroe.
Survivors are his brother Lawrence T. Fleming nieces Lauren Fleming, and Megan Fleming all of Shelton.Calling hours will be held on Saturday July 22 from 8 – 9:30 a.m. in the Bennett Funeral Home 91 N. Cliff St. Ansonia then to the Church of the Assumption for a mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery Derby.In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Assumption School or Assumption Church in care of the Funeral Home.
