James L. Walker, age 70, of Shelton entered into rest on Friday ‚July 9, 2021 at his home with his loving family by his side.
He was the devoted husband of 50 years to Linda B. (Reilly) Walker. James was born in Shelton on September 16, 1950, son of the late Evener Walker and Elizabeth (Murhamer) Webb and was a lifelong Shelton resident. He worked for over 30 years at SNET until his retirement. After he retired, James drove a school bus for the Shelton Public School System for 12 years. He cherished spending time with his family and would attend all of his daughters activities.
James was the beloved father of Jessica Walker, Heather Penna and Laura Walker and brother of Robert Walker. He was the loving grandfather of Haley and Devyn Penna and was also survived by several nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by a brother John Walker and a sister LaRue LeBlanc.
On Thursday, friends may greet the family from 4 to 7 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton.
