James M. Tighe passed away on April 15, 2025. His loving wife, Judith, was by his side. He was Judy’s “Mr. Wonderful” (because he was), and she was Jim’s “reason for being.” Their marriage spanned 31 love- filled years.
Jim was born in the Bronx, New York on July 4th,1958. He believed the fireworks on his birthday each year were meant only for him. Passionate about nature, cooking, camping and photography, he made Eagle Scout and upon graduation from Michigan State University, Jim embarked upon a tour of America on his bike. Cycling and camping his way across the U.S., he attained the goal of dipping his bike tire in the Pacific Ocean and finally the Atlantic Ocean after 3 months.
This journey was one of Jim’s proudest moments of his youth.
Fueled by his creativity and ambition, Jim owned his own marketing company, Market Reach.
He was enthusiastic about hiking, canoeing, kayaking, teaching people to love nature, and laughing with his loved ones. If you shared an inside joke with Jim, you felt fortunate, indeed.
He leaves behind a huge circle of friends, a larger circle of people he inspired, a brother, Michael Tighe (Barbara), 3 sisters-Kathleen Ball (Bruce), Maureen Tighe (Brad),and Trish Foss (Dan), 3 nephews- Thomas Melillo, Steven Ball, Ryan Foss and an amazing wife, Judy Tighe.
Jim’s passion for life, giving and loving will never be forgotten. The world has truly lost a beautiful soul who found peace in nature.
