James Michael Torwich

James Michael Torwich, age 59, of Seymour, Connecticut and Belfast, Northern Ireland passed away at his home in Belfast, after a long illness.

He was the beloved son of the late John Torwich and the late Agnes (Gibbons) Torwich of Seymour, Connecticut and Belfast, Northern Ireland.

James was born and raised in Seymour, Connecticut and in later years made his home with his family in Belfast. 

He worked in the travel industry and travelled extensively prior to his retirement.

Jimmy, as he was known by friends and loved ones, is survived by his loving sister Margaret Zalenski (husband Frank) of Seymour, Connecticut, his dear friend Frankie McGuinness of Belfast, many loving cousins, nieces and nephews in the U.S. and Belfast, including Deirdre LaFrance (husband Jim) and Frank Zalenski of Ansonia, John Zalenski of Derby, Sharon Nagy of Wallingford; and especially his dear cousin, Jim Black of Belfast who was instrumental in getting Jimmy through his final days.

Memorial Services were held in Belfast.

A Graveside Service will take place at Saint Augustine’s Cemetery in Seymour on April 29, 2023, at 11AM. The Rev. Thomas J. Cieslikowski of Saint Nicholas Parish will be officiating.
