james R. (Jimmy) Mastrony, age 44, of Shelton, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, after a long illness.
Jimmy was born in Bridgeport on October 17, 1968, beloved son of Jamie Coleman Mastrony of Shelton and the late Robert Mastrony.
He was a graduate of Shelton High School and Southern CT State University and was the Assistant Recreation Supervisor for the City of Shelton for 15 years. Jimmy was a Big Brother and mentor to many of the youth in our community. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and Dallas Cowboy fan.
In addition to his mother he leaves his sister Danielle Mastrony, who was also his best friend, his dog Brutes, an aunt, several uncles, and cousins.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:00 AM in St. Lawrence Church 505 Shelton Ave. in the Huntington Center Section of Shelton.
