James S. Ploss Jr.

James S. Ploss Jr., 46, of Oxford, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on November 29, 2013, in his residence. He was the beloved fiancé of Diane Rogers of Oxford.

Jim was born in Derby on March 24, 1967, loving son of Justine Perun Ploss of Oxford and the late James S. Ploss Sr. He was employed as an electrician and taught at Porter & Chester Institute in Stratford. Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his fiancé Diane and mother Justine, he is survived by a sister, Janice Smith and her husband Mark of Conway, SC, a step son, Robert Rogers of Milford, a step daughter, Mallory Rogers of Milford, two step granddaughters, Makayla and Briana Rogers, a nephew, Joshua Smith, a niece, Margaret Smith, a great nephew, Caleb Smith and many friends. 

Visiting will take place on Thursday morning December 5, 2013, from 8:30 to 9:30 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 9:30 am, his funeral will process to Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road in Seymour, for a Mass of Christian Burial. His burial will be private and at the discretion of the family.
