Jan M. (Guillet) Wasko

Jan M. (Guillet) Wasko, age 66, of Ansonia entered eternal rest on October 16, 2022, at Bridgeport Hospital in the presence of her loving daughter.

Jan was born in Keene, New Hampshire on June 23, 1956, daughter of the late George and Olivette Roy Guillet. A Valley resident for most of her life, Jan developed and maintained lifelong relationships as a member of the graduating class of Ansonia High School 1974 as well as through her work over the years. She loved fiercely and was always concerned about how everyone else was doing even when she was struggling so much herself. She always had a soft spot for her animals especially her dear cats Smokey, Boyd, Kelsey and Junior.

She leaves to honor her memory, her devoted daughter and best friend, Kimberly A. Magda (David) along with her cherished grandchildren, Brooklyn and Noah, all of Ansonia. In addition, she is survived by two of her sisters, Gloria Luneau of Seymour, and Francine Joslyn (Robert) of Bristol, her brother Nil Guillet of Oxford, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Joanne and brothers Daniel, Denis, Yvan, Michael, and Eric Guillet.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Thursday, October 20, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Friday, her funeral will take place at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at the Church of the Assumption, 61 North Cliff Street in Ansonia. Interment will immediately follow in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby. Contributions in Jan’s memory may be made to Ansonia Animal Shelter, 1 N.
