Janet Breda, 76, of Seymour, peacefully entered into eternal rest on October 12, 2017, at Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Albert J. Breda Sr.
Janet was born in Derby on Dec. 4, 1940, daughter of the late John and Ella Radzavich Ellis. She was employed as a L.P.N. at Griffin Hospital and later Hewitt Memorial in Shelton before retiring as the office manager for Dr. John Gell, D.M.D. in Shelton.
In addition to her husband Al, she is survived by loving daughters, Laura Vasas and her loving companion Giorgio Scapellato of Derby and Mary Brooks of Fairfield, step-son, Albert Breda of Shelton, step-daughter, Laura Pecoraro of Palmdale, CA, cherished grandchildren, Gary and Lyndsy Vasas, Julian Brooks, Anya and Tyler O’Connell, step-grandchildren, Christopher Brissette, Sara Pecoraro, Dawn and Jessica Breda and great-granddaughters, Gabriella O’Connell and Madison Nicole Breda. She was predeceased by a son, Paul DiCaro.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday October 15, 2017, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Monday, her funeral will take place at 10:30 am in the funeral home with Rev. James Sullivan officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
