Janet Henry, age 64, unexpectedly entered eternal rest on March 6, 2025, at her home in Ansonia.
She was the loving wife of forty-six years to Russell J. Henry.Born in Derby on January 20, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Jeannette Tymosko Metelski.
Janet was a graduate of Ansonia High School class of 1978 and a lifelong Ansonia resident. She was employed as a hostess for the former Ramada Inn in Shelton.
Janet enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles, tending to her colorful outdoor flower garden, and sunbathing on a beautiful day. Janet was a collector of anything with sunshine or lunar symbols and had an affection for Charlie Brown and the Peanuts characters.
She was famous for her potato salad which she made for special occasions and family get togethers.
In addition to her husband Russell, Janet leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Sherylin Trujillo (William) of Milford and Patricia Henry (Ricardo Hohl) of Seymour, grandchildren, Isaiah and Sofia Hohl, in-laws, Patrick Henry (Donna) of Ansonia, William Henry of Seymour, Edward Henry (Ursula) of Beacon Falls, Deborah Henry of Washington and Lori Henry of Oxford, aunt, Rita Marchelletta of Southbury, uncle, John Brushitis (Shirley) of Seymour, cousin, Ellen Amodeo of Derby, best friend, Cindy LaChance of Maine along with several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers-in-law, Bruce, Kevin, and Frank Henry and sister-in-law, Sharon Henry.
