Janet Watrous, age 84, widow of 58 years to the late Ernest Wesley Watrous, and resident of Cheshire, passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on March 6, 2014.
She was born on August 15, 1929 in Middletown, daughter of the late Amos and Hazel Kuhn Morse.
She worked as a retail manager for Kmart and later Caldor in Cromwell. Janet enjoyed reading her Bible and prayer, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and watching sports on TV. She also enjoyed her friends and the staff at Elim Park.
She is survived by her sons, David Watrous and wife Linda of Derby, Alan Watrous and wife Virginia of Wallingford, Wayne Watrous and wife Brenda of Tennessee, and Mark Watrous and wife Colleen of Middletown, and by grandchildren Marisol and Jonathan, Brian, Nicholas, Courtney and Nathan, Andrew, Rebekah, Daniel and Harley, and Megan, Ernest, and Timothy, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Janet is also survived by her brothers George Morse and wife Phyllis, Donald Morse and wife Ruth, Richard Morse, and her sister Edith Morse. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Morse and sisters Eleanor Morse and Alice Cockburn, and by grandson James Watrous.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Elim Park in Cheshire, and the excellent ER doctors and nurses at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden who took care of her.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 13th, at 11:00 a.m., at Grace Baptist Church in Milford.
