Janice Francione, an 85 year old Ansonia resident and wife of Thomas Francione, entered into eternal rest Jan 20, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Dec. 6, 1937 daughter of the late Sam & Josephine Grant Tuccio. Janice graduated from Ansonia High School, and worked as a manager of Fair Shoppe & Marty’s Place. She was also a licensed hair dresser.
She was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia and a member of The Hotchkiss Hose Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. Janice loved to crochet, as well as ceramics. She loved bird watching, with a special interest in cardinals.
She also enjoyed spending quality time at her home in Florida. She was predeceased by her brother Bill Tuccio.
In addition to her husband, she leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Lisa Shashinka (Gary) of Shelton, sons Thomas Francione Jr. (Michele) of Southbury, and Brian Francione (Nancy) of Oxford, 2 sisters-in-law Anne Stanky & Margaret Tuccio, grandchildren Melissa Francione, Brian Francione II, Nicole Cianciolo, Maria Shashinka & Lauren Francione, 4 great grandchildren Brayden Cavallaro, Benjamin & Michael Cianciolo, Brian Francione III and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on Tuesday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Constellation Hospice of Orange. The family would like to thank dear friends Paula Beamer & Sister Mary Ellen, Amanda Vargas from Centerwell and Marlene from Constellation Hospice for the loving care they gave to Janice.
