Janice T. Cappetta

Janice T. (Baldelli) Cappetta, 70, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday May 12, 2017, at Griffin Hospital, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Joseph J. Cappetta.

Mrs. Cappetta was born in Derby on Oct. 4, 1946, daughter of Rose DeGennaro Baldelli of Derby and the late Eugene Happy” Baldelli. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a preschool teacher. Janice was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the casino. She especially loved playing cards with her close friends, spending time with her grandchildren and family.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by daughters, Sharon A. Cappetta and her partner Joseph Forlano of Ansonia and Dana L. Sharkey and her husband Bryan of Prospect, cherished grandchildren, Samantha and Zachary Sharkey, caring brother, Anthony Baldelli and his wife Sandy of Ansonia and several nieces, nephews and grand cats.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday May 16, 2017, from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Wednesday at 10:30 am, a funeral service will take place in the funeral home with Rev. James Sullivan officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
