Jared Hayes, 38, of Shelton, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Oct. 20. He was born on March 1, 1984, in Derby, son of William and Christine (Clapes) Hayes. He is a communicant of the Church of the Assumption, attended the Ansonia Schools before graduating from Shelton High School.
A member of the Echo Hose Fire Dept. and was a Supervisor for UPS in Norwalk. Survivors besides his parents include son Dylan Hayes and his mother Lora (Pitoniak) Hayes of Shelton, Brother Jason M. Hayes of Shelton three nephews Jordan, Ethan and Jacob.
He is predeceased by brother Dr. Jeremy Hayes, Ph D.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 10:30 a.m., in the Church of the Assumption, 23 N. Cliff St., Ansonia. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery Shelton.
