Jason M. Savino, age 44, a lifelong resident of Ansonia, entered peaceful rest on July 12, 2023, at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the loving son of Christopher and Susan Falcha Savino of Ansonia.
Jason was born in Derby on September 9, 1978. He was employed as Manager at Sage in New Haven, currently Shell & Bones, which he considered his second home and family. Jason was a graduate of Ansonia High School, Class of 1996. He adored and treasured his only son Jesse. He was an avid Sports Fan, he loved the NY Yankees, the Las Vegas Raiders and especially his beloved Ansonia Chargers Football team which he played for in High School. Jason will be remembered for having a heart of gold, making everyone laugh, and giving hugs whenever someone needed it. Jason enjoyed playing in his Dart League, boating and had a talent for drawing. Jason will be lovingly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents Susan and Christopher, Jason leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Jesse Savino, sisters, Christina Picheco (David) of Ansonia and Carrie Savino-Messenger (James) of Naugatuck, maternal grandmother, Antoinette Falcha of Ansonia, nieces and nephews, Cameron Hunt, Ava Richter and Kayla Picheco, friend and mother of his son, Molly Bentley of Seymour, along with several aunts and uncles, especially his uncle and Godfather, Fred Falcha (Susan) of Milford.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 2:00 – 5:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Monday, all are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial by meeting directly at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive in Ansonia. Interment will immediately follow in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby. Contributions in Jason’s name may be made to the future education fund for his son Jesse.
