Jean B Stratton, formerly of Gloversville, NY, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 19th at Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT.
Jean would have been 102 on December 11th. Jean was born on December 11, 1919 in Gloversville, NY, daughter of the late Elmer and Frannie Bradshaw Leach and wife of the late David Stratton. She lived her entire life in Gloversville until she moved to CT in 2013 to live with her daughter and son-in-law.
Jean worked for Argersinger Department Store and was a life-long member of the North Main Street Methodist Church in Gloversville. NY, but most recently attended Great Hill United Methodist in Seymour.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Andreana (Joseph) of Oxford and Sharon Cohen of Crestline, CA. She also leaves six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Private burial will be in Gloversville, NY with a celebration of her life to be held at a later date at the Great Hill UMC in Seymour. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the James A Brennan Memorial Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Rd. Gloversville, NY 12078.
