Jean Matthews, age 98, loving wife of the late Mitchell Matthews Sr. and Ansonia resident, died surrounded by her loving family Oct. 22.
She was born July 29, 1915 in Beacon Falls, daughter of the late John & Sophie Wrubleski Klimaszewski.
She worked as an assembler for UNI Royal in Naugatuck and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Kathryn Hicks & loving son in law Paul of Seymour, 3 grandchildren Serena & Michael Hicks & Christine Machowski, and 2 great grandchildren John & Andrew Machowski. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son Mitchell Matthews Jr., sisters Helen Fredericks & Arline Kaminski and her brother John Kame.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held (DIRECTLY) on Friday, Oct. 25 at 10:00 a.m.at St. Michael’s Church, 25 Maple Ave. Beacon Falls, CT. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck.
