Jeanette M. Orts, age 71, of Ansonia and formerly of Derby, entered into rest on Saturday September 22, 2012 in the CT Hospice, Branford. She was the devoted wife of the late Roque Orts.
Mrs. Orts was born in Derby on September 18, 1941, daughter of the late Thomas and Rena (Gambaccini) Mattutini and was a Derby resident for most of her life before moving to Ansonia four years ago. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, animals, and flowers. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is the beloved mother of Roque Orts and his wife Debora Thomas Orts and his fiancée Gina Fabrizi and Lynn Frager and her husband Nicholas. She is the loving sister of Louis Mattutini and Lisa Teodosio and her husband Francis. She is the adored grandmother of Joe, Jeff, Stephanie, Jessica, Jillian, Maya, and Zoe. She also leaves several nieces and nephews, her beloved Dog Charley and many dear friends.
Friends may greet her family on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street Derby. On Wednesday her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 8:15 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Mary’s Church. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
