Jeanette (Sicilia) Mitchell, age 83, peacefully entered into eternal rest on August 14, 2018, in the comfort of her home, with her loving husband by her side. She was the beloved wife of James Mitchell.
Mrs. Mitchell was born in Derby on Oct. 19, 1934, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Sicilia. She was a resident of Derby until moving to Monroe twenty-five years ago. Jeanette was employed as an office manager until her retirement and enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and traveling to Las Vegas and the local casinos.
In addition to her husband Jim, she is survived by a caring brother, Carmen Sicilia (Charlene) of Derby and many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Sicilia and sisters, Savina Fuoco and Virginia DiCamillo.
Visiting will take place on Saturday morning August 18, 2018, from 9:00 am until 10:00 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Her procession will then leave for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at St. Jude Church in Derby. Interment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
