Jeanne V. Bohdan, 98, entered into eternal rest on January 1, 2016, at Griffin Hospital, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Major John J. Bohdan (USAR, Ret.).
Mrs. Bohdan was born in Ansonia on November 26, 1917, daughter of the late William and Anna Wasik Kusako. A resident of Ansonia for most of her life, she was employed as an executive secretary for the former Peter Paul in Naugatuck. She was a devoted communicant of St. Joseph Church in Ansonia and a member of its Women’s Guild. She traveled extensively throughout her lifetime and lived in Germany, Virginia and the Panama Canal Zone.
She is survived by a son, William J. Bohdan (Lisbeth) of Darien, daughters, Deborah Feltovic of N. Andover, MA and Patricia Bohdan of Ansonia, cherished grandchildren, Kimberly Slattery (Sean) of Amherst, NH, Stephen Feltovic (Coreylee) of Hadley, MA, Emily Bohdan of Stamford and Andrea Bohdan of New York, NY, great-grandsons, Jack and Matthew Feltovic and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Stanley, Herbert, William, Edward, Joseph and Frederick Kusako and sisters, Frances Popp, Peggy Ann Kuzia, Juliana Mallon, Alfreda Van Aken and Lucille Chlebowski.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday January 5, 2016, at 12:30 PM at St. Joseph Church, 32 Jewett Street in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial. Visiting will take place on Tuesday from 11:00 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia until the procession leaves for church. Interment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
