Jeff Griffin, age 83 of Oxford, beloved husband of Mary (Dolan) Griffin, entered peaceful rest on Saturday, April 12, 2025 in St. Mary’s Hospital, Waterbury. Born in Bridgeport on February 1, 1942, he was a son of the late Charles and Marion (Butler) Griffin.
Growing up in Huntington, Jeff worked in the plastic molding business. Starting as a tool maker and then moving into manufacturing engineering. He worked for Hubbell Plastics in Newtown for 25 years and then General Electric in Bridgeport for 5 years. After retiring, he enjoyed playing as much golf as possible at Pomperaug Golf Club and other courses.
In addition to his wife Mary, of 46 years, Jeff is survived by his sons, Ronald and his wife Karen, and Robert; 3 cherished granddaughters, Jennifer Saffir and her husband Doug, Rachel Griffin, and Kimberly Griffin; 2 adored great grandchildren, Henry and Sophie Saffir; as well as his brothers, Alan Griffin and William Griffin, and many nieces and nephews. Jeff was predeceased by his brothers John, Charles, Philip, Daniel, Robert and his sister Donna Arsenault.
Relatives and friends can visit the family from 4pm to 7pm on Monday, April 21, 2025 in The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour, CT 06483. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 11am DIRECTLY in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 25 Church St., Shelton, CT 06484. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
