Jeffrey Richard Stec, age 54 of Seymour, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 10, 2018 peacefully at Shady Knoll Healthcare surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Bridgeport on April 12, 1964, the beloved son of the late Richard J. Stec, Sr. and June (Wheway) Stec.
Jeffrey was a lifelong Seymour resident. He was a graduate of Seymour High School. Jeffrey attended The American Academy McAllister School of Funeral Service, New York, NY, and he was a beloved funeral assistant at The Miller-Ward Funeral Home for many years. He was a Mechanic, most recently working at Shelton Car Care. He attended St. Augustine Church. Jeffrey enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, loved the Detroit Lions, but most of all enjoyed being with his family and friends and will be sadly missed by all but will remain forever in our hearts.
His loving family includes his former wife Tammy Piccirillo of Seymour, two loving sons Mikol Stec of Wallingford and Noah Stec. Sr., of Seymour, a loving daughter Courtney Abate of Oxford, a caring stepdaughter Brittany McClain and her husband Jared of Seymour, a devoted brother Richard J. Stec, Jr. and his wife Lynn of Beacon Falls, a cherished grandson Noah Stec, Jr., and several nieces , nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Service in Celebration of Jeffrey’s Life will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 8:00 pm in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (Rt. 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until the start of the service at 8:00 pm. Interment will be held at St. Augustine Cemetery privately at the convenience of the family.
