Jennie Loda, loving wife of 65 years to the late Paul Loda and an Ansonia resident, died at home on October 27.
She was born on July 22, 1917 in Ansonia, daughter of the late Joseph & Anna Zilavage. Jennie was a loving mother and grandmother, her family was her lifelong devotion. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church of Ansonia, and was a member of the church Ladies’ Guild.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children Margaret “Peggy” Figoras and her husband John of Shelton and David Loda and his wife Lynn of Kalispell, Montana, three granddaughters, Karen Shoshani and her husband Gil of Wallingford, Stacy Andrejczyk and her husband Mark of Shelton and Jaime Loda of N.Y.C.
Jennie was also blessed with six great grandchildren; Maya, Adam & Ben Shoshani of Wallingford, and Steven, Hannah & Ryan Andrejczyk of Shelton. In addition to her parents and her devoted husband Paul, she was predeceased by two sisters, Violet Zilavage & Julia Pryplesh.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 1 with friends asked to go directly to St. Anthony’s Church, 199 N. Main St. Ansonia, CT.
Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
