Jennie Martin, 84, of Ansonia, beloved wife of Michael F. Martin, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday morning, June 19, 2011, in the comfort of her home, with her loving family by her side.
Mrs. Martin was born in Ansonia on October 4, 1926, daughter of the late Michael and Rosalia LaMarca Giannone. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, she was employed at Samarius Inc. in Derby for over 25 years until her retirement. Jennie was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia and enjoyed dancing.
In addition to her husband Michael, she is survived by 4 sons, Raymond N. Martino and his wife Carol of Shelton, Frederick J. Martino of Ansonia, Michael G. Martin of New Haven, and Peter S. Martin of CO, 6 cherished grandchildren, Melissa Martino of VA, Raymond Martino of Watertown, Christina Martino and Mallory Martino of Orlando, FL, and Jonathan and Caitlyn Martino of Deltona, FL, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Raymond Martino Sr. and sisters, Jean Balser, Josephine Demo, and Sue T. Krystopik.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday June 23, 2011, at 8:15am from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 – 7 pm.
